Owl Ahead has no user accounts, advertising, analytics SDKs, or third-party diagnostics. Via Verde Studio does not operate a server that receives or stores your location history. The app’s App Store privacy position is “Data Not Collected,” subject to final release verification confirming that no developer-controlled transmission has been introduced.
Location
With your permission, Owl Ahead uses precise location to estimate movement and proximity to school-zone records. Location comparisons and alert decisions are processed on your device. The app requests When In Use access, not Always access. Free monitoring pauses when the app is backgrounded or the phone is locked. A verified Owl Ahead Premium subscription can continue an already-started session in those conditions. Monitoring stops when the app is force-quit or terminated by the operating system.
You can change location permission in iOS Settings. Disabling location access prevents proximity alerts.
Local preferences
Alert, appearance, acknowledgement, and onboarding preferences remain in local iOS app storage. Owl Ahead does not sync those preferences to a Via Verde Studio account or server. Uninstalling Owl Ahead removes its app container and local app data under normal iOS behavior.
Apple services
Owl Ahead uses Apple frameworks including MapKit for map, road-context, routing, and geocoding features. Relevant requests and device or network information may be processed by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy practices. Via Verde Studio does not receive a copy of your MapKit request from the app.
Subscriptions and payments
Apple processes subscription purchases and manages billing. Owl Ahead receives verified StoreKit entitlement information on the device to determine whether Premium is active. AA-BI Solutions, Inc. does not receive payment-card details from the app, and the app does not send purchase information to a developer-operated server.
The website
This website uses no analytics, advertising, cookies, remote fonts, or client-side JavaScript dependencies. If the site is deployed, its hosting and network providers may process ordinary request information such as IP address, request time, and security signals to deliver and protect the site. Email sent to support is processed by the sender’s and recipient’s email providers and contains whatever information the sender chooses to include.
